about us
Each member of the team here at Cold Blooded Friends Exotics brings with them many decades of experience in studying, caring for, breeding and teaching about herps and arachnids, which of course means one thing....we're old. But, the cool thing is that hardly a day goes by that we don't learn something new; A new way to heat or provide lighting for tarantulas, a new species of gecko discovered in Asia, the fact that Blind Snakes that we once thought were rare are actually everywhere! And I could go on and on. These new discoveries not only come out in the field, but also from people keeping and caring for these amazing creatures. That's where you come in.

How Can I Be A Citizen Scientist
Anyone can become a citizen scientist! You can participate in research projects by contributing data, sharing observations, or engaging in online activities, There are numerous opportunities for all ages and skill levels, and you don’t need a science degree to do any of this. Literally, just uploading photos you take while out walking or hiking to our site, or iNaturalist, will provide essential raw data for ongoing and new studies. And speaking of iNaturalist…
iNaturalist
